We’ve listed a few things you can do to help increase food allergy safety. Be sure to ask your allergist if you have any questions.
Reviewing: Frequently review the allergy action plan that was developed with your allergist. Know the signs & symptoms of an allergic reaction and the steps to take in an emergency.
Rehearsing: Practice what to do in an emergency. Know how to use the epinephrine auto-injector and what to say when calling 911.
Reducing: Help reduce allergen exposure by reading EVERY label EVERY time, and ask questions when you’re unsure about the safety of an item.
Remembering: Make sure to always have the epinephrine auto-injectors and allergy action plan with you and your child at all times.
